What we build with Genesis64

Most of our Genesis64 work falls into four categories. Operator HMI screens — GraphWorX64 displays engineered for specific workflows: station screens showing cycle status and quality results, supervisor screens aggregating a full line, and maintenance views exposing device health. Andon and large-screen displays — wall-mounted boards designed for readability at 15–20 metres, with hourly production tracking, TAKT status, and station call states driven directly from PLC handshakes. The parts of Genesis64 work that actually take experience

Anyone can drag symbols onto a GraphWorX64 canvas. The engineering is elsewhere. Tag architecture: a plant with 6,000 tags needs a naming and folder discipline decided before screen one is drawn, or every later change costs triple. Code Block scripting: we use Genesis64's scripting for logic that belongs in the visualization layer — screen navigation rules, conditional visibility, operator input validation — and deliberately keep production logic out of it, in SQL Server stored procedures where it can be audited and version-controlled. Shift boundary handling: production counters, hourly buckets, and OEE calculations all reset or roll over at shift change; getting this correct across A/B/C shift patterns, including week-boundary and holiday cases, is where many deployments quietly produce wrong numbers for months. We have specific patterns for this because we have debugged it on live lines. Redundancy and licensing: we advise on Genesis64 licensing tiers and point counts before purchase, and design redundancy appropriate to the line's actual downtime cost rather than defaulting to the most expensive option.

When Genesis64 is the right choice — and when it isn't

We recommend Genesis64 when a plant needs rich visualization with strong OPC UA support, tight Microsoft-stack integration (SQL Server, Active Directory), and a licensing model that scales from one line to a site. For very small installations — a single machine, a handful of tags — a panel HMI or a lighter package is often more economical, and we will say so. We are integrators, not resellers on commission; the architecture recommendation comes first.
